Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2025, the National Disaster Management Research Institute (NDMI) of Korea and NCDR held their first bilateral workshop for experience-sharing.

The meeting was hosted in Taiwan, with NDMI Director General OH Keumho leading a seven-member research delegation. The two sides engaged in discussions on disaster prevention technologies, participatory disaster response mechanisms, and socio-economic aspects of disaster risk management.

The delegation also conducted site visits to the International College of National Taiwan University , the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE), and the Taipei City Government Emergency Operations Center, further advancing collaborative research and development in disaster risk reduction.
