Slopeland and Hydrology Division

Background

Slopeland and Hydrology Division was composed of “Slopeland Disaster Prevention Division” and “Flood and Drought Disaster Prevention Division” in 2014, when National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction was restructured as an administrative corporation under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Technology, while the two divisions were originally established in 2004.

The main research perspective of the division is to implement the disaster related research results gathered from related governmental agencies to field application. In the future, Slopeland and Hydrology Division will devote to disaster risk management, cooperate with government, academia, and public sectors to enhance disaster reduction core research technical support, and implement application into government policies to maintain Taiwan's sustainable development.
