APEC Resilience Week
The APEC Resilience Week was held from 30 September to 2 October in Taipei City. NCDR invited disaster managers, governmental officers, and researchers of the APEC region to attending the conference that focused on science technology applications of disaster risk reduction to enhance the regional resilience. There are 13 economies attendance, including Chile, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Thailand, The United State, and Viet Nam.
The National Science and Technology Center for Disaster Reduction (NCDR), serving as a technical advisor to the Executive Yuan (Cabinet) on disaster prevention and reduction affairs, was established in July 2003.
